Spanish pianist Javier Perianes’ international career includes appearances at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Paris’ Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and Vienna’s Musikverein.
Renowned for his performances of Spanish music, he devotes the second half of his International Piano Series debut to the evocative sound-worlds
of two composers from his homeland – Albéniz and Falla.
The first half of the concert features two of Chopin’s most emotionally compelling works – the Op.48 Nocturnes and his final large-scale composition for the piano – the third Sonata.
Chopin: 2 Nocturnes, Op.48; Sonata No.3 in B minor, Op.58
Isaac Albeniz: Evocación from Iberia, Bk.1; El Puerto from Iberia, Bk.1; Triana from Iberia, Bk.2
