Samantha Jepson- Winner of 2015 Arizona Horseman’s Challenge, Competitor for 2018 Challenge of the Champions, professional colt starter for over 20years.
Katherine Calkins- Head instructor and national clinician for biomechanics with Wicked Good Horsemanship, trainer/owner/breeder of multiple National Champions in multiple breeds and disciplines with over 15 years of experience.
Reggie Richter- Multiple Mustang Makeover Competitor, Colt Starter for Two Braids Training, Clinician and Instructor!

MULTIPLE Horses!
Bring your own Colt or use ours! Hands on supervised application of training techniques in an individualized manner! Use of biomechanics and applied discussion of how your seat affects the horse during the course of training, from ground to riding.
All riders/handlers will handle multiple horses during course of clinic, horses will be limited on amount of time spent working per day (no overworking for sake of rider learning) , “safe” horses will be available for practice of techniques for handlers.
Clinics will cover
-Basic and advanced groundwork to prepare your weanling, yearling, or older for first rides
-Practical desensitizing
-Saddling and bridling
-First 3-4 rides
-Problem Solving and advancing to refinement while keeping your horse engaged in the activities
-Classroom time with handouts discussing the science and psychology of training, behavioral modification as it applies to colt starting, and question time/recap of knowledge gained!

9am-4pm each day, 300$ a weekend for participants
30$ each weekend to audit (you will receive clinics handouts and may participate in classroom time/question sessions)
