Step well off the beaten path with us in outback Indonesia, this snorkel safari takes us to a combination of remote islands which lie east of Bali. We’ll be snorkelling two distinct regions, Alor and Komodo, both offer stunning yet varied landscapes, rich and healthy reefs with abundant marine life,
interesting cultural heritage and exclusive sea side resorts.
Offering some of the finest snorkelling to be found anywhere in Indonesia these destinations offer everything from big pelagics like Mantas, reef sharks and mola- mola to rare critter life and seemingly brightly coloured coral reefs. Enroute we’ll take time to get to know the local culture and food, explore some deserted beaches, visit Rinca Island to see the Komodo Dragons and walk to some stunning view points.
We’ll be based between 2 fabulous resorts, ideally situated to allow for some of the best snorkelling in the area as well as beautiful land-based excursions. Trip highlights include tours of local villages, markets and traditional craft-workshops, snorkeling on a huge variety of terrain, from volcanic caves to anemone fields, fringing reefs to black sandy sites. Snorkelling with manta rays and turtles, seeing Komodo Dragons in the wild and enjoying the solitude of deserted beaches and endless seascapes.
